Betway Responsible Marketing Policy

Our commitment is first and foremost to our customers. In order to ensure that they receive a fair, safe and enjoyable experience at Betway, we adhere to a strict policy with regards to responsible advertising and marketing standards.

We make sure that we abide by the regulations and guidance of all jurisdictions within which we market our products, across all media channels and at any events with which we are associated.

We hope to lead the industry in promoting responsible gambling behaviours. The below outlines the key areas of our policies.

Basic Principles

All of our marketing communications are designed to appeal to people who are legally old enough to gamble. We only market our products in a responsible manner, being careful not to incite illegal behaviour or excessive betting, or to undermine healthy lifestyles.

Decency

We avoid using themes, images or symbols that may offend or demean. And if a marketing communication is to be used across more than one country, we make sure that we are sensitive to the culture and religions of all customers receiving the materials.

We do not advertise with or associate with advertising linked to any pornographic sites.

Honesty

We want to be upfront with our customers. Our marketing communications clearly portray any offers in full so as not to abuse their trust or exploit any lack of knowledge.

We make sure that we communicate all of the key factors that could affect consumer decisions so that they can take them into account, including time limitations and what they must do to qualify for the advertised offer.

All of our marketing communications contain clear links to the terms and conditions of the advertised offer(s). These terms are made clearly available to all customers and display unambiguously the full details of the offer.

Social Responsibility

All of our marketing communications respect the laws of the areas in which we operate. And we make sure to treat all of our customers fairly.

We do not incite or condone any form of discrimination, whether that is based on race, nationality, religion, gender, age, disability or sexual orientation.

We do not condone or incite violent, unlawful or antisocial behaviour. This extends to include all advertising – we do not advertise with or associate with advertising linked to any illegal websites, including illegal download websites.

As part of our commitment to our customers, we do not make any claims or suggestions that individuals can attain social or professional success as a result of betting or playing our games. This includes representing gambling as a 'rite of passage'.

Safety & Health

Our marketing communications reflect moderate and responsible gambling. This means that both the language we use and the promotions themselves will not encourage excessive or irresponsible participation.

We do not target or address at-risk groups. Any suspended, closed, excluded or self-excluded account holders will stop receiving marketing communications.

Children and Young People

All of our marketing communications are intended only for those old enough to participate in that region.

To ensure that minors are protected, we make sure that our marketing communications are not intended to appeal to anyone below the legal age of participation.

We also do not include images or representations of anyone who could be perceived to be under the age of 25.

All marketing communications are placed exclusively in media where we can reasonably expect it to meet a predominantly adult audience.

We do not allow minors to participate in any promotions or games linked to betting or gambling.

Contracted Third Parties

We accept responsibility for the actions of all contracted third parties, including affiliates. All third party contracts must therefore comply with our Responsible Marketing Policy, as well as the legal and regulatory requirements of the jurisdiction in which our products are marketed.
